In Ashbrook, Aogu will be told that he works as a cellular biologist employed by the Fish and Wildlife Service. He is seen as competent and passionate about his work, which makes him well-liked by Sebastian. However, his intensity is sometimes off-putting to those around him, particularly his coworkers. He is brilliant, accomplished, and surely moving his way up the ladder - which makes some people question why he's working in a little town like Ashbrook. He has lived in Ashbrook for at least 10 years.

The exact nature of Aogu's work and what makes his coworkers so wary of him is yours to decide!

• He was not born in Ashbrook, and seems to have no contact with his family
• He lives in a townhouse just a 10 minute walk from his office
• Aogu's degree indicates that he graduated with highest honors from a prestigious university
• He is regularly contracted by the police force's lab for certain types of forensic work, and is one of the few people in town Sheriff Lot seems to respect
• Aogu is not liked by most of the university staff and will have a hard time gathering information from any of them, particularly Max

Current state of affairs is as follows:

Kanou has a gun, purchased under the pretence of self-defence whilst in the forest. 'Bear protection', as he calls it. Specifically a Glock G20 Gen5 idk it's a 10mm pistol.
He's discovered that his AU self also nursed a burgeoning crush on Sebastian Ortega, due to Sebastian praising his work. This memory is associated with a patchwork flannel shirt, well-worn, which he's taken to wearing regularly in town.
He's not yet certain of whether he still contains Empyrean cells, which are carried via blood (even the tiniest drop), and cause mutation into either monsters or hosts, depending on how strong a person's will is. Thus, he's trying to see if someone will kill him, thus spreading his blood, and causing a mass infection event (or not).
He's also therefore trying to keep himself from corroding, either by being around situations that may cause an intense obsession, or by 'giving up' on saving himself. His will isn't strong enough to become a host, due to his whimsical nature, and he knows that the only way to stay himself is to stay mentally stable.
He doesn't like any of the other Visitors thus far. Sig is the only Visitor he'll bother actually being sweet to, however, due to the fact that they're both thought of highly by Sebastian and Kanou wants to keep in Sebastian's good graces.
